You will visit Radio Kaikan the historic center of Akihabara and learn about the neighborhood's origins as a balck market for electronics parts after WWII.

Winding through the area's streets and shops, you will see how the area developed into the center of Japan's consumer electronics culture and then into the mecca of Otaku culture of manga, anime, games and idols. You'll visit famous shops and lesser known ones, encountering content ranging from cute to risque.

You'll choose your own type of small toy from a Gachapon vending machine center and have a chance to sample the delicacies. There are also food available to be purchased on the way. Fans of Japanese pop culture will have the opportunity to see your favorite characters. You'll pass by a maid cafe and you can visit the sound stage where groups like AKB-48 perform. Beginners will marvel at the whole scene while fans will know they have arrived in Otaku heaven!
