First of all, this is not the tour I actually ended up taking. I wanted to book the Two Oceans one Day tour but was told there were not enough people booking to justify the tour and was offered just a two dive trip on the Carribean side. So that was a bit disappointing. It might have had something to do with the fact that I was there during Carnivale, so people were doing other things and not interested in diving. Carnival had the traffic so snarled up that making the drive across the isthmus would have been challenging at best. But I got the impression that this was a common occurrence. So beware, the Two Oceans in One Day thing may be mostly a sales gimmick.

Once I did go, the diving was pretty good, but not great. On the Caribbean side there didn't seem to be many fish or larger animals. The worst day diving is of course still pretty good and the dives did include an airplane wreck which was pretty cool. In all it was well worth the effort and I would do it again, but it fell short of the expectations set for the Two Oceans in One Day trip. The dive company was OK. It was probably the smallest boat I've ever gone out on but the company seemed sufficiently safety conscious and the equipment was in descent shape, so no complaints there. The Dive master was affable and did good job. There were only two divers in the group not counting the dive master.
