Your private tour starts in the morning with hotel pickup in Cusco. You will meet your private tour guide and driver and head to the Sacred Valley. The first stop will be Chincheros, where you will visit the Andean town and community. See the local people demonstrating how they produce their beautiful textile pieces.
After this visit, you will be taken off the beaten path to Maras, a typical Andean village. Walk through the streets, where a lot of the culture has remained, giving you a feel of actually walking during the time of the Incas. People there still wear traditional clothing and the town is lined with historical buildings.
Your next stop will be the amazing circular terraces of Moray. Learn from your knowledgeable guide how these terraces were used as an Incan laboratory to acclimatize crops.
After taking in some history, enjoy a nice picnic lunch with a great view of the Andean Mountains. Following lunch, you will visit the salt terraces of Maras to see and learn about an ancient pre-Incan method of producing salt. Then, you can choose to take a short 1-hour trek to the Vilcanota River and be driven you to your hotel, or you can head directly to your hotel if you prefer.
