The tour begins outside the Star and Garter Hotel; this would have been on the edge of the medieval part of the town. Across the road stands St Michaels well, one of the few remaining wells in Linlithgow. We then travel towards The Four Marys pub, which was once the home of an important chemist, there is a rich industrial history in this area, with this building dating back to the 16th century. At Sheriffs Court we arrive at the exact location of the assignation of a head of state, the first to be done with a firearm. The Cross - the centre of the town, was once the centre of Scottish politics, trading, executions.

We then head towards St Michaels Church which was used to escape the plague, storing food and billeting soldiers and of course walk around the outside of Linlithgow Palace, the birth place of James V and Mary Queen of Scots, the royal home of the Stuart monarchs.
