產品詳情

Your 2-day trip from Glasgow to Loch Ness and Inverness introduces you to some of the Scottish Highland’s most beautiful scenery. The tour includes views of Ben Nevis and an optional boat ride on eerie Loch Ness, where you can look for the Loch Ness Monster. See the stronghold of Urquhart Castle, and spend the night in Inverness, capital of the Scottish Highlands, Europe’s last great wilderness.

The experience is as close as you can get to touring in your own car, with the added benefit of intimate Scottish knowledge from your expert guide. Traveling in a small group enables you to take more stops and reach all of those out-of-the-way places that larger coach tours cannot easily access. Your overnight 3-star accommodation (in your choice of guesthouse or hotel) is located in the center of Inverness, so you can explore the city independently and with ease.

詳細的出發地點,時間請參考電子票(Voucher)中的詳細介紹

Day 1: Glasgow Dunkeld Cairngorms National Park Inverness
Leave Glasgow in the morning and travel to the historical village of Dunkeld, home to a 12th-century Celtic cathedral, and then take a leisurely stroll along the River Tay. Alternatively, explore the wooded grounds of the Dunkeld Hermitage (a decorative garden building) to look for 18th-century follies such as Ossian's Cave. From Dunkeld, continue to the holiday town of Pitlochry in time for lunch (own expense).

Cross over Highland Boundary Fault, a geological fault line that separates Scotland’s lowlands from the Highlands, taking in views of the magnificent scenery along the way. Look out for Blair Castle as you enter Cairngorms National Park, and then ogle the pine trees and wide, open countryside that typifies the parkland. Have your camera ready for a stop at Rothiemurchus Estate inside the national park, and capture incredible panoramas of its raw Scottish beauty.

Continue your journey north, and arrive in Inverness around early evening. Check in to your accommodation, and then enjoy a full evening of free time to explore the capital of the Highlands.

Overnight: 3-star guesthouse or hotel in Inverness

Day 2: Inverness Loch Ness Fort Augustus Glencoe Glasgow (B)
After a leisurely breakfast, and then leave Inverness to visit Loch Ness, Scotland’s most famous body of water. On arrival, choose to stay on dry land and explore the banks of the loch by foot, or enjoy a Loch Ness cruise instead (own expense; April to October only). Simply hop aboard the comfortable sightseeing boat, and cruise around the loch while looking out for Nessie: the legendary Loch Ness monster.

Whether you choose to sightsee from land or water, both options include the chance to see Urquhart Castle, a ruined medieval stronghold that dominates the landscape from the banks of the loch.

Meet back up with your guide, and travel to the southern shores of Loch Ness to the charming village of Fort Augustus. Stop for lunch (own expense), and watch the boats cruise along the Caledonian Canal that links the lochs of the Great Glen. Later in the afternoon, resume your journey south past Ben Nevis and Fort William to the haunting battlefield at Glencoe, where members of the Macdonald clan were brutally massacred in the 17th century. Take in the atmosphere and hear the history on a walk around, and then continue traveling through Rannoch Moor to Glasgow.

Your 2-day tour finishes with a drop-off at the start point in in central Glasgow in the early evening.

You can not control the weather, however i had an amazing time. There were issues with the pick up, however everything was dealt with very quickly so i didnt mind at all. Our guide was VERY knowledgable and she fit in with the group very well. Will be doing this exact tour again with my partner.

The tour was great value for money - the scenery was beautiful, the food stops were well paced, and the guides were very informative.

One major criticism however was that the way people were picked up and dropped off made things feel disjointed - we started to get used to one guide from Glasgow to Stirling but then had to change buses and entered another group dynamic that had already been established. This was the same on the way back as well, with yet another guide taking us the rest of the way back from Perth to Glasgow.

Besides that one issue, the trip was highly enjoyable and also educational.
