See the best of the Cape winelands with you experienced chauffeur, will guide on a full day trip to some of the best know wine farms in the Cape. You will have the opportunity to enjoy some wine tastings, purchase wine and enjoy lunch (own expense) in the heart of the largest wine growing area of South Africa.

Start your tour out of Cape Town after breakfast and take a leisurely drive to the historical wine town of Paarl, once the headquarters of the wine industry of South Africa. Here, you will visit an estate to enjoy some wine and cheese tasting. The town boasts many magnificent examples of Dutch architecture, scenic drives, hiking trails and of course, the Paarl Wine Route.

Next you will head to Franschoek, founded in 1688 by French Huguenot immigrants. Known as the gourmet capital of South Africa, and features some of the worlds best restaurants.What better place to stop for lunch (own expense) before visiting a local vineyard for another wine tasting.

Then, it is on to Stellenbosch, the second oldest European Settlement in South Africa after Cape Town. Here you will have the opportunity to walk through the oak lined streets and experience the Mediterranean-style climate which makes this region ideal for wine growing. And of course, you will enjoy your final wine tasting of the day.

Enjoy a comfortable ride back to Cape Town in the late afternoon sunshine.

We had great fun on the tour!! ...We had done another wine tasting tour only a couple of weeks earlier in New Zealand and this was far and away the best one!

We only got to see two vineyards (and a chocolatier - nominal extra cost) and although we had expected we would visit more, we actually enjoyed that we got to spend a large amount of time in both and really learn about the wines (particularly at the second one we visited), rather than be rushed from one vineyard to another.

A really fun way to see the area and some brilliant vineyards to try! - Highly Recommended!

Capturing the Cape Winelands by sidecar was a fantastic and unique way to tour wine country. Patrick was prompt, courteous, attentive, and shared his insight on Cape Town and wine country. We even got a tour of the waterfront and Signal Hill--complete with pictures--as part of our excursion. Getting picked up and dropped off at our door step was a huge convenience.

This was a brilliant day! We were very impressed with the guide's knowledge and how friendly he was. There was no obligation to do anything that we did not want to do, and he was very knowledgable about the different vineyards. We spent an amazing day tasting some great wines, and had a lovely lunch. We even invited our guide to join us for lunch as he was such great company. This is definitely the way to see the Winelands, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested in seeing Cape Town from a different perspective. Suzi

The CJ750 bikes were manufactured for the Chinese army between the mid-1950s and mid-1970s, and the sidecars are at least 30 years old. They’re hardly models of dynamic excellence, but they’re great fun especially when you’re bombing down the motorway with the wind in your face. On my trip, our first stop is at the Fairview Estate, a quirky vineyard where goats live in a tower out the front. There’s a huge range of wines available for tasting and most are of a very good quality and plenty of cheeses to match them with. Pretty much next door is the Seidelberg Estate, with its own glass-blowing studio.

Great fun. The wines were all quite good but really the reason for taking this tour is the motorbike - sidecar experience. Wonderful!
