Day 1: Cape Town Wilderness
Leave Cape Town in the early morning, and head out on the Garden Route to the town of Wilderness, between the Kaaimans River and the Outeniqua Mountains. After a journey of approximately five hours (with plenty of rest stops along the way!), arrive in the private game reserve, and after after taking lunch (own expense) you can get straight in the action! Head out on a game drive safari (own expense) to see South Africa’s famous Big Five: African elephants, Cape buffalos, lions, leopards and rhinos! Alternatively drive to the coastal town of Mossel Bay where you can explore its golden beaches at leisure.
After the Game Drive, you have the option to take part in a walk with lions (own expense) at a nearby sanctuary. Walk and interact with young, hand reared African lions for approximately one hour - depending on how fast the lions are prepared to stroll. The close interaction with the lions strengthens mutual respect and understanding, aiding in their conservation. The experience is fully supervised and professionally managed by an experienced team.
Overnight: 3-star Shearwater on Sea Accommodation in Wilderness Area or Budget Afrovibe Backpackers Lodge or similar accommodation types
Day 2: Wilderness National Park Kynsna Tsitsikamma
Leave early and head to the Wilderness National Park for a 2-hour canoe ride through the park’s calm waters, following the lead of your activity guide. When you’re finished canoeing, and the re-board your coach and relax on the drive to the lively town of Kynsna. With your guide, walk to the Kynsna Heads the two striking sandstone cliffs flanking the mouth of the Kynsna lagoon against the crashing waves of the sea. After touring this stunning geological site, you’ll have time for lunch at your own expense.
Tsitsikamma National Park is the last destination of the day, and here you’ll enjoy a 2-hour guided walk along its shady forest paths. Your evening is spent at leisure in the famous Jefferys Bay 1 hour from Tsitsikamma area.
Overnight: 3-star Dolphin’s View Guest House in Jefferys Bay or Budget Backpackers Paradise Lodge or similar accommodation types
Day 3: Bloukrans Bridge Jeffreys Bay Oudtshoorn
Head to Bloukrans to spend the morning at its eye-catching bridge. Standing 709 feet (216 meters) above the Bloukrans River, Bloukrans Bridge is the ideal place to face your fears with a bungee jump! If you don’t want to participate in this optional activity (at own expense), get your fix by watching the adrenaline junkies as they bounce through the air.
Once you’ve got your breath back, spend the afternoon at Jeffrey's Bay for a swim in the sea or a walk along its beautiful, unspoiled white beaches. There is even the chance for you to try surfing (own expense) in one of the most world famous areas.
Arrive at Oudtshoorn, where you’ll spend your evening at leisure, perhaps checking out the town’s nightlife and restaurants.
Overnight: 3-star Cul de Sac Guest House in Oudtshoorn or budget Island Vibe Backpacker or similar accommodation types
Day 4: Oudtshoorn Cango Ostrich Farm Cango Caves Cape Town
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, and then visit a working ostrich farm in the nearby Cango district. Learn all about these fascinating flightless birds the heaviest in the world -- and stand in a nest to see their typically massive eggs. These birds’ stocky legs and bulky bodies give them the ability to carry humans; if you’re brave enough, go for a ride!
While in this gorgeous area, another optional activity (at own expense)
is available: a ‘meet the elephants’ experience. This fantastic
opportunity allows you to experience the exhilarating adventure of an elephant back ride. Learn about these orphaned elephants, as you feed and interact with the huge and lovable creatures.
Next head to the incredible Cango Caves, lying nearby at the foothills of the Swartberg Mountains. With your guide, enjoy a 2-hour tour to see ancient stalactites, stalagmites and other eerie yet intriguing rock formations. Then hit the road to Cape Town! The journey is long (more than five hours), but oh-so scenic. Following Route 62, pass a landscape of soaring plains and mountain peaks before reaching Cape Town in the evening.

This tour was fantastic with a lot of great activities. Elephant ride and feed were great but the lion walk was exceptional. Highly recommended. Our tour guide, Andrew was fantastic and knows his way so well even in the dark. Great organizing power and bought us to great places for lunch and dinner

Our guide on this tour was Andrew and apart from the beautiful places we went and the exciting things we did, it was really his personality that made this tour so enjoyable. Andrew did whatever he could to make the tour as pleasant as possible for everyone and put a lot of time and energy into it to make it happen. He also knew all kinds of interesting stories and trivia around the places we passed by and they were not the superficial, boring kind that you might expect from such a tour. As for the trip itself, it's worth sacrificing a little comfort and staying at the backpackers because that's apparently where most of the tour guests stay.

We had a wonderful time on this tour! Zaahid was our tour guide and went above and beyond to make sure we all had a good time and were taken care of! I also like that there was some flexibility with the activities. We were able to add zip lining and we wanted to go to the Cango ranch instead of the caves and he made that happen for us! The places we stayed were wonderful and a great value for the price!

Tour guide Gerrard from Hotspots was amazing i couldn't have faulted his effort, he was really helpful and knowledgeable. The route was a little odd and wouldn't have considered it part of a coast route. The accommodation was nice but it would have been nice to be able to stay in cheaper accommodation - realizing that if i went with hotspots directly i had more choice rather than staying in guest houses and being split from the rest of the group. It might be worth putting a note when booking that the activities aren't always guaranteed due to many of them being based on good weather, we had two cancelled activities due to rain so that was frustrating.

Great trip! Excellent enthusiastic guide, 4-full days of seeing the beautiful Garden Route and experiencing everything from canoeing and caving (included activities) to riding elephants, game drives and watching the keen / crazy ones bungy jump!
The scenery is stunning, accommodation good and it was overall a fab time. Definitely recommended as good value for money and a memorable trip.

The highlight of our trip to South Africa was this 4-Day Garden Route tour. Our guide was friendly, funny and helpful. This trip is loaded with activities like Canoeing, Hiking, Ostrich Riding and so on. The Big Game Drive was amazing and a must do. Bungy is not for the faint-hearted but is a phenomenal experience. The awesome part of the tour is the places the tour company had picked to stay. One night was in a lodge with Ostriches in the backyard, One night was in a beautiful room with a sea view and the third night was on the banks of a lake. The drive itself is extremely scenic and the price for the entire package is well worth it. Me and my wife had a wonderful time on this tour and would highly recommend this to anyone who wishes to have a fun-filled 4 days. Cheers!

This was an excellent tour with an top quality guide, interesting excursions, beautiful scenery, and very good accommodations. The tour was advertised as 3-star but the guest houses were all top notice with friendly staff and delicious breakfasts. The tour was a very good value compared with other similar tours along the Garden Route.
