You leave from Hector Pieterson museum in Orlando West and cycle through Soweto’s daily life. You’ll see, Orlando soccer Stadium, home to Orlando Pirates football club, your guide will explain the system of schooling and houses in Soweto.
You visit ‘Orlando Towers’, the previous power station, Chaf Posi and bungee jump. You will have the opportunity to jump, experience a free fall or one of the other activities. (Bungee fees are not included in the tour price)
You will pass a hostel for mineworkers and see Winnie Mandela's, Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu’s and of cause Nelson Mandela’s house.
At Orlando West High school your guide will explain the local struggle against the Apartheid system which led to a student uprising and the killing of Hector Pieterson.
You end the tour at Coffee and Cream coffee shop. If you like you can visit the Hector Pieterson museum in your own time after.
