Option 1: Morning Tour (Chinatown: Binh Tay Market, Thien Hau Temple and War Remnants Museum)After hotel pickup, your private guide will take you to District 5 to immerse you in the bustling life of Chinatown. Experience the vibrant rhythm of one of Ho Chi Minh City’s busiest and most colorful areas — Binh Tay Market. At this major hub for local merchants, watch Vietnamese farmers barter for goods.
Next is Thien Hau Temple, built in the early 19th century. The temple is dedicated to Thien Hau, the goddess of seafarers, for her protection during Chinese migration to Vietnam. Visit the pagoda’s shrines and shops in the center of Chinatown, where the Hoa (Chinese minority) reside.
The last stop on your private tour is the War Remnants Museum, which relates to the American phase of the Vietnam War. See displays of old military equipment and other related objects as well as larger exhibits including an F5A fighter and a UH1-Huey helicopter.
After lunch, you’ll be dropped off at your hotel by private vehicle.
Option 2: Afternoon Tour (French Quarter: Reunification Palace, Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica, Central Post Office and Ben Thanh Market)After hotel pickup, your private tour begins at the century-old Reunification Palace, which witnessed the growth of Ho Chi Minh City during peacetime and throughout the Vietnam War until its end in 1975.
Continue to the nearby French colonial area, including a stop at the impressive Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica, a famous cathedral located in Paris Square. Discover the magnificent neo-Romanesque architecture as you take in the tranquil atmosphere inside.
At the opposite Central Post Office, one of the oldest buildings in Ho Chi Minh City, learn about this significant landmark — the busiest post office in Vietnam. Admire the neoclassical-style of the post office interior as your guide points out the painted maps of former Saigon, once the capital of South Vietnam.
Take a look at the embroidery workshop of XQ Vietnam Company before a visit to Ben Thanh Market, a lively market in District 1, where your guide can help you barter for goods.
After dinner, you’ll be dropped off at your hotel by private vehicle in the early evening.

Waste of time.Lazy guide.Pointed out stuff without any knowledge. Made a face when we asked questions and cut the tour short because she was tired

The tour itself was great, but the guide we had spoke English with such a strong Veitnamese accent we weren't able to understand much of what he tried to tell us.

The local service provider was Grayline Vietnam Threeland Travel and of the innumerable tours we have booked with Viator since 2014, this was the worst experience of them all. Whilst the description said, this was a professional English speaking guided tour, we ended up with a guide whose language and diction were incomprehensible. The guide was unable to share any pertinent information regarding the sites we visited and seemed more interested in what was happening with other groups/ people around us. After a point, all the guide did was point at the board of the room in the Palace and just repeat that a couple of times. We ended up reading the information from the display boards ourselves. The visits to the other places were even worse. The Cathedral was closed which was not in their control, but all the guide did was - stand outside and point to the Cathedral and then say - lets go! No trivia or any historical information whatsoever! The post office right next door was a do as you wish situation and we ended up walking around by ourselves trying to see and comprehend what was significant about the place. Our Pho dining experience too was annoying as the guide by then wanted to finish the tour and leave and so we were rushed through the whole thing!
All in all - a very lousy experience and we felt that we could have managed this on our own and there was really no need to hire someone to only take us from Point A to B!

Felt very rushed, guide had a very heavy accent which made it almost impossible to understand what he was saying.. Therefore, didn't get any of the history or narrative as we toured the city... Not keen, on being taken to a workshop making tourist products.. Felt obliged to buy something and being left alone in a local restaurant to fend for our selves at lunch time didn't make this tour any better... Hire a taxi and save your money by doing it yourselves..

I dont expect you to publish this - it's really for your information.
Tour guide was good - picked me up on time etc but having experienced it, the content was strange. We went to the palace which was interesting - the cathedral is under renovation so that was skipped and had a look at the post office at which point the guide said we were running out of things to do as scheduled so he took me to the War Remnants Museum which was very interesting. From there to the market where I lasted about 3 minutes. In my view its not worth the visit - a large building with hundreds of small stalls all selling the same stuff. The temperature inside was so high it was unbearable. And then to the strangest part of all. I had not noticed when booking that the program included dinner. I should have mentioned I was the only one on the tour. It was 4.45 pm, hardly dinner time but despite my protest I was taken to a restaurant where I selected the smallest and safest item I could - deep fried spring rolls - ate half on my own and then asked to leave.
I have used your tours often in many different locations and content and presentation have always been of high order - I recommend you to others. This one was an aberration so I think it needs some work - definitely get rid of the meal if nothing else.
