Clay was very informative and did a professional and thorough job. He takes you to all of the civil rights historical places and tells the story! Great job, Clay!!

I learned so much about civil rights in Birmingham and that is a subject I've studied. Clay did a remarkable job and packed so much into 3 hours. I hope to take the tour again.

Clay is an amazing guide as he tells the story of the Civil rights movement in Birmingham from the 1930s through the 1960s. He knows his stuff!!! And he takes you into parts of Birmingham that tourists seldom visit -- though the should if they want to really understand Birmingham. This tour is just as good (if not better) than tours I have taken in Europe and Latin America. I cannot recommend it highly enough.,

Clay, our tour guide is a walking encyclopedia! His knowledge about the civil rights movement in Birmingham and also the town's history is amazing! He is also personable and considerate. The tour went overtime due to him taking the time to thoroughly answer our questions. I would do it again!

Clay arrived at the hotel as agreed and exactly on time, he then advised us that we were the only participants. It was an excellent tour Clay is very knowledgeable and passionate and told us lots that we knew nothing about. He answered any questions and talked about this time in the history of Birmingham as well as telling us about other more current things.

This was an excellent tour! I lucked up and was the only one on the tour so it was a 1 on 1 with Clay. He is extremely passionate about making sure you learn all about the history of Birmingham...the good and the bad. If you only have time to do one tour in Birmingham this is it! Not to be missed! Personal tour was well worth the time and payment. We learned the back story in-depth with much that we did not know about before.

This is a must do tour! It's a frank and earnest look at an ugly past that will leave steeped in thought and reflection about the future of our Nation! I've recommended this tour to everyone I've come into contact since. I had ten people from a wedding I attended ready to sign up the next day but the tour was closed that Monday. I wish I could remember the young man's name who gave the tour. He was fantastic! I don't remember his name not because it's not important but because the information that he imparted left me reeling, sad, angry, upset, emotional,and in need of some reflection. None of which was bad, just powerful. It was everything I had hoped for and more!
