Highly recommended!! All the places are beautiful! And the tour guide very helpful! Pick up and drop off are on time, the van it’s spacious and comfortable.

From the Hotel pick up in Auckland to drop off in Rotorua, this was a fabulous customized trip with excellent guides. Hobbiton is the main attraction for most and although I was not too familiar with the films, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the beautiful setting.
Since I was only going one way, FlexiTours lived up to their name and had a separate guide take me individually to Waitomo Caves next which was quite interesting.
Along the way I enjoyed my guide’s knowledgable comments on New Zealand history and interesting facts. We then journeyed to Rotorua for Te Puia to see some of the Maori culture and geysers and mud pools.
This was truly an enjoyable way to see all 3 of these very interesting attractions in one day. I very much appreciated the individualized trip catered to meet my needs and all the “extra” interesting things my guide pointed out to me along the journey — the redwood forest was a stunning surprise to find in NZ!

I got bunch of bites of sandflies. I don't know where they were. I am suffering extreem itcies. I cannot tolerate at all. The places good,but I should know it in adban,e.

We are a family of 3. I think it is a great way to see all 3 places with this tour. All the tour guide was great, very knowledgeable and very entertaining. The coach are clean and comfortable. Well plan with a few stop for a break, toilet and snacks.

Wonderfully organized. Terrific group leader. Darryl was our tour guide and he was fantastic. Full of good information and stories. Even the lunch was delicious and plentiful!

very good experience. Fantastic scenery. But limited time at rotorua. One more hour would be perfect as we missed the culture sites. we did not get to see the museum and the maori living. Lunch was so good.

Wonderful day. Matt entertained us with information about New Zealand Dairy economy. The three venues are well selected and you will love each one. A word of caution however do not sit in the last row of the bus or your back and neck will be in spasm the next day

Of the the weeks of adventures in NZ, this ranks among the top. This place is beautiful and amazing. Well worth spending a day strolling among the Hobbit huts and hovels! Super scenic! Took tons of pictures!

Hobbiton was very good but it was too short and the guide rushed the tour.If you spend a few minutes too take a picture you may miss a lot of comments and behind stories from the guide.Waitomo was beautiful, it is somewhere you definitely go if you haven't seen glowworms.The driver was very friendly and helpful.

Three must see activities that should not be missed. The day started out well with a hotel pick up and we headed to the Hobbiton adventure. Whether or not you have seen Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit movie series, definitely go check out this former movie set. The onsite Hobbiton guides are entertaining and the information is fascinating. From here we traveled to Rotorua where we started to experience poor guidance. We arrived at Te Puia, home to Pohutu Geyser where we were given 60 minutes to eat at the buffet and walk through it. After arriving at the restaurant and being seated the guide went to hang out with other tour guides and did not bother to help direct us through the geyser park after lunch as we saw other guides doing. We were not sure where to begin. We were given a map at the entrance, but none of the actual locations had a corresponding number that was on the map so we had difficulty figuring out where we were. In the end we did not have enough time to see everything at Te Puia, which was disappointing. Another 30 minutes would have allowed us to walk through the park and see the sites. Upon boarding the bus the guide said he needed to fill up with gas on the way to our last stop since he did not take care of this while we were eating lunch and walking through Te Puia. So we pulled into the gas station and after filling up the tank the guide admitted that he put in the wrong fuel (gas instead of diesel). We had to wait for a new bus to arrive putting us behind schedule, which fortunately only took about 20 minutes to arrive. But we had a 4pm appointment time at Waitomo Caves, but due to the fuel stop debacle we ended up not making it until 5pm. Fortunately the Waitomo Caves were well worth the wait. But the thing that really annoyed us was at the last stop we picked up two additional passengers that came from another tour traveling back to Auckland. The second bus that we had to switch to resulting from the gas mishap was a little smaller than the first, but the two new passengers were not directed by the guide to sit the in the last remaining open seats. Rather they took over seats where we had been sitting (and left our belongings) and they displaced us making the 2 hour ride back to Auckland most unenjoyable. We had to sit next to a couple that was ill and we were not fitting well in the seats. It made for a sour ending to the day.
