Stop At: Keukenhof, Lisse, South Holland Province

" Departure from Amsterdam around 9 a.m.
" we start your tour by making a scenic ride in this area. Depending upon the season you see a landscape with colourful bulb flower carpets in almost any colour you can imagine. We try to find a spot where we can stop to make some pictures.
" Then we continue to the true highlight of this tour, the park Keukenhof. Once a mere kitchen garden filled with vegetables and herbs, the Keukenhof now has the distinction of being the world’s largest flower garden, hosting some 1.000,000 visitors per year. Wander through the 15 kilometres of footpaths and 32 hectares of gardens, where millions of bulbs are planted each year. Discover the Keukenhof on your own leisure

Stop At: Volendam Haven, Volendam, North Holland Province

" A one hour drive you will take you from the Keukenhof to the beautiful seaside village of Volendam.
" In two hours you will experience how they make cheese, visit the centre and you will have a free time to explorer Volendam and have some lunch.
" This is a great place to pick up souvenirs for those at home or a memento for yourself, and to have photos taken in traditional Dutch costume.

Stop At: Zaanse Schans, Zaandam, North Holland Province

" Drive in 30 minutes to the Windmill village the Zaanse Schans.
" This outdoor conservation area is situated on the banks of the Zaan River and is home to traditional 18th and 19th century architecture, including several functioning windmills.
" Watch live demonstrations of craftsmen at work, including a clog maker crafting the famous wooden shoes of the Netherlands
" See how the world-famous Dutch cheese is made and, of course, to taste it in a cheese farm.
" There will be some free time to explore the village on your own, before traveling back to Amsterdam

The small group was great. very comfortable van, Driver was knowledgeable and friendly, and we did not have to waste time waiting for a busload of other tourists. This day was ambitious.Timing in each of the places was appropriate. The cheese making pace in Volemdam was a little too commercial for my taste, but otherwise, everything was great.

Loved our visit to Keukenhof gardens, so beautiful still the end of April. Windmills and wooden shoe demonstration also interesting. Was a bit disappointed with the space in the luxury van as quite tight. Guide was friendly but any comments while driving were not heard in the back seats. We didn't need the goody bag as had no room in our suitcases for items given. Would have preferred lower cost for the trip and no goodies, except water.

Great value but wish we had had more time at all three stops! A great sampler of the region. Keukenhof was spectacular even with the tulips coming to the end of the season.

A comprehensive experience of tourist sides close to Amsterdam- the spectacular gardens, a cheese shop, a dike and a windmill village. Tour took our group of seven to each location with interesting commentary at we drove from place to place, then dropped us off for free time at each location. A fun day.

I loved every place that we went, but when we went to Volendam, we were not told where to go or what to do. I missed out on a couple of things because I discovered them for myself too late.

This is a great trip for people who don't have a lot of time and want to see a lot of different things! Well worth the money!

Excellent guide, very knowledgeable,was able to give special insight to the windmill and farming area. He also gave us insight into current goings on in Amsterdam without being to chatty. The gardens were the highlight of the trip and the time provided was perfect.
