I felt like a movie star on this tour! I had a large, comfortable van, a great driver, and a wonderful tour guide.
The drive out of Addis is itself a sight to see on this tour. During the rainy season, the green patchwork of the Ethiopian landscape and the Rift Valley is breathtaking.
The stone church on this tour is not a completely finished one so don't expect the same type of quality as the ones up north. It still was worth seeing and very interesting to experience. The warrior cemetery was also an interesting place. The was a very mysterious sight and made me want to research the whole lost civilization even more. Lunch was at a hotel along the way back, so the quality was very good.
The highlight however of this tour is the coffee ceremony at a local village. I'm not going to spoil it too much but be prepared for a very local and authentic experience that will have you feeling like a real Ethiopian. The coffee and the setting were amazing. It was not just a highlight of this tour but also my entire Ethiopia trip. Thank you!
