This experience begins with your arrival before noon into Lalibela airport from Addis Ababa. We pick you up and take you to your hotel to get ready for your day visiting the rock-hewn churches. Your first day you will tour at least six of the magnificent rock-hewn churches of Lalibela, a UNESCO World Heritage site. These eleven monolithic and semi-monolithic structures were carved directly into the mountains more than 800 years ago.
