Day 1: Arrival in Addis Ababa and Excursion to Debre Libanos Monastery
Up on arrival in Addis Ababa, you will be taken to your first hotel. Then start driving to the tributary of the Blue Nile, where you will explore the forested escarpment above the monastery of Debre Libanos, which is full of photo opportunities with its unique landscape and architectural interaction with it.

Day 2: Drive to Langano
Today, you will drive towards Langano Lake area. En route, you will find yourself birding at Chelekleka Marsh and Lake Hora for white-backed and maccoa ducks and later at Lake Ziway for black heron, african pygmy goose, lesser moorhen, lesser jacana and many more.

Day 3: Journey to Bale Mountains
Today, you set off to Bale Mountain, the area of this high altitude plateau. Over 60 species of mammals and 260 birds have been recorded here including the blue-winged goose, rouget’s rail, spot-breasted lapwing and white-collared pigeon. At the foothills and a higher elevation of the national park, several endemic mammals inhabit, including the mountain nyala, simien wolf and menelik’s bushbuck.

Day 4: Exploring Bale Mountains
Today’s drive will take you to the Afro-Alpine grasslands of the Sanetti plateau. It is cited as the world’s largest expanse of Afro Alpine moorland, a habitat confined to altitudes of 3,500m to 4,500m.

Day 5: Drive to Yabello
Today your journey will lead you to Yabello. En route you will encounter flocks of magpie starlings, white-winged dove, black-bellied sunbird and salvadori’s weaver, bare-eyed thrush and eventually you may be lucky to spot a male black cuckoo shrike.

Day 6: Expedition to Mega
Today drive to the city of Mega where you will see many species including red-napped bush-shrikes, white-tailed swallows and more.

Day 7: Voyage to Awassa
Today we drive to Lake Awassa and upon arrival you search the grounds for spotted creeper, senegal coucal, dusky flycatcher, grey-headed kingfisher, ruppell’s starling and numbers of marabous storks and pelicans.Overnight stay at Lewi resort, Awassa

Day 8: Proceed to Arba Minch
After a relaxed breakfast, drive to Arba Minch with a stop at a large local lake that holds black egret, white-headed vulture, and African cuckoo-hawk.

Day 9: Excursion to NechiSar National Park
Today take an excursion to Nechisar Park through Lake Chamo and Abaya. A boat trip on Lake Chamo will bring you to the "Crocodiles Market", where large numbers of Crocodile gathers to sunbath, and the hippo pool.

Day 10: Drive back to Langano
Today you will start your return drive towards Langano. You may possibly see black, goliath and other herons and egrets and many other around your lodge, Bishangari.

Day 11: Drive back to Addis Ababa
Drive to Addis Ababa. Enjoy a farewell dinner party at one of the best traditional restaurants. The tour ends at about 7:30pm
