We took this tour as an alternative to a cruise ship tour. We docked early and when we checked in to the tour we were told that they would leave at the originally scheduled time. This was fine as we had a chance to explore Argostoli on our own. But the tour company (Avalon Travel) used this time to recruit other people for the tour. So the group grew from 6 to 20+. This would still have been fine had the bus being used been properly air conditioned. It was a hot day and warm on the bus. Overall the tour was very good although there were some unnecessary stops for taking photos which reduced the time we could have spent elsewhere. The sea caves were worth the price by itself so all in all we found the day very worthwhile.

this is not a small group tour. They were 45 minutes late pick in us up at the port, and because of a large group we were not able to make all the stops as it was described. Very disappointing. The guide was very nice and knowledgeable

My husband and I are so conflicted about this tour. It was 5 stars most of the time but one big issue made it a 2-star review. First of all, this is an amazing itinerary of things to do. It's the only Greek island that we really liked the others were Corfu, Crete and Athens. The guide was friendly when he met us at the port. The bus was in good condition. We went to so many places. The monastery was very cool, the winery samples were very generous, Dragarati Cave wasn't anything super special given that it's 140 steps one way, but Melissani Cave/Lake was incredible and an awesome experience. There were a couple of other additional photo ops that were nice. That said, after Melissani Lake my husband asked the guide if we'd be back in plenty of time for all aboard at 4:30pm. He didn't seem to have any urgency. We continued expressing concern as the afternoon went on. At one point he was telling stories and he shared a story about coming home to find a snake in his kitchen and told us, quite graphically, how he beat it to death. I'm a huge animal lover and hated hearing this. His boss apparently called him towards the end of the tour wondering where he was since she was more concerned about all-aboard than he was. After hanging up he joked that he should have told her we were still a few stops back. We ended up back at the port at 4:31pm and walked onto the ship at 4:35pm. It was just way too close of a call and kind of ruined our perfect day in Greece. If two photo ops were eliminated I think this would have been better.

Went on a 7 day cruise with 6 ports and Argostoli was a favorite because of this tour! Very thorough and gave a good overview of the island from a charter bus. One complaint is that the AC on the bus was not great and we found ourselves very hot. All of the stops were worth while!

This tour was top notch. If you only have a few hours to spend in Kefalonia this tour will give you a great taste of all it has to offer! You essentially travel around the island and experience a little of it's best. The drive alone is worth the tour in my opinion, as the scenery in Kefalonia was some of the best on our trip! We arrived on a cruise so this functioned as a more personalized, less expensive shore excursion than we would have bought through Royal Caribbean. The highlight is Melissani Cave for sure - such a magical place! The only downside of the tour is that it can be hard to fit all of these amazing things in a short period of time, so if you'd rather spend a lot of time at any one place in Kefalonia, this tour may not be for you. Having said that, I'm so glad we chose this comprehensive tour of the island!

We waiting for the tour to start in a very hot bus for about 45 min. Once the tour started they took us to a winery, a cave (nothing extraordinary) and then the famous boat ride in a cenote. The tour guide, John was very pleasant and knowledgeable.

This tour was really well organized and packed a lot of cool places in one day at a really good price, compared with something similar offered by our Costa cruise ship. The tour guide met us on time right at the pier so there was no confusion and walked us over to their company up the street. We loaded a bus with a bunch of other people and were on our way. There were such beautiful views from the St Georges castle at the top of the hill and the Drogarati Cave was beautiful! It was smaller than the other caves I've been to but it was definitely worth seeing nonetheless. I don't think we went to see the lighthouse but Sami and Melissani Lake were stunning to see. I thought the boat ride was very crammed with people and it was hard to get pictures because of this, and on a really hot day, it's not pleasant being squished in like that. The boat ride was also shorter than I expected. It only went in the cave part. I thought this would lead to the actual lake but it didn't. There was opportunity to do a little souvenir shopping as well on this tour and dip your feet in the water at Agia Efimia Village to cool off. Stopping to see Myrtos beach was truly spectacular and it ended off the trip nicely. Overall, I would definitely recommend this tour to people. The staff at the tour agency were really nice as well.
