" Starting point 25, Chrisanthou Episkopou Street - Venetian Port.On this tour you will see all the historical sights of the beautiful Old City and all the graphical points of this large area and explore all the Venetian Port widely. You will also hear all the historical information about the monuments from the audio guide system. Furthermore you will visit from west, Nea Chora with the waterfront traditional taverns till the exterior of the east Venetian walls, near the sandy beach, Kum Kapi area (in the old days a village of poor North African slaves who lived in tents and huts and did all the harsh jobs in the portside). This region was called in Turkish Kum Kapisi (Gate of the Sand) from the Venetian gate which is still preserved in our days. Today kum Kapi is one of the most developed districts of the city which gathers thousands of visitors every summer who come to enjoy the view to the sea and the numerous high quality cafeterias and restaurants.
