Stop At: The Grand Old Lady, Miri, Miri District, Sarawak
The Grand Old Lady is not a literal old lady. It is Miri's first drilled oil well which took place in the year of 1910 by Shell Company. The Grand Old Lady is one of Miri's many main places of interest and also act as an important monument in the eyes of the local's and definitely, the world's. This famous landmark has a height of 30 meters and marked the beginning of modernization of Miri city as back in the years before the discovery of The Grand Old Lady, Miri is just an undeveloped fishing village. There is a museum named the Petroleum Museum situated just next to The Grand Old Lady. If you're looking for an educational tour, the Grand Old Lady and the Petroleum Museum will be the best place. On the hill, you will see a model named the Nodding Donkey that is used to erect the crude oil. There is also a site of Time Capsule. There are many exhibits and modals in the museum include a scaled oil platform, tools used back in the days to extract crude oil and definitely, the products made. History and the processes involve the extraction of crude oil to the process and end products are all written down and elaborated.

Stop At: Lian Hua San Ching Tien Temple
San Ching Temple is the largest Taoist temple standing in South East Asia. Its elegance architecture is what tourists shouldn't miss. It takes up 1.5 acres of land and is bordered by housing area. A visit to the temple is definitely worth it to have a closer understanding on Taoism. This temple was built not quite long ago, in year 2000. The construction of the temple took as long as three years and a total amount of RM10 millions to be completed. The door arch of the temple itself is impressive with a pair of carving dragons in the entrance of the temple. These carvings are brought all the way from China. You can hear the soothing sound of wind chimes in the temple while appreciate the colorful wall painting, carvings and the statues. One of the unique attractions is its serene and tranquil environment.

Miri City Fan a unique fan shaped urban civic park and an award-winning urban park complex comprising a variety of theme gardens, including a Botanical Garden and an Islamic Garden. It is also home to Miri City Library, a Public Swimming Pool, and a large Amphitheater where concerts are frequently held. The City Fan is popular with locals for strolling, jogging or just chilling out.

Stop At: Miri Handicraft Centre, Miri, Miri District, Sarawak
Miri Handicraft Heritage Center showcases all sorts of unique and handmade art craft, handicrafts, T-shirts, bead works and many more. It is definitely a place that you must stop by to have a short shopping spree for native handicrafts before going back to your hometown. There are various stalls in the centre and so, the choices and options are uncountable with vibrant colors and unique crafting. These stalls are all run by individuals. Regularly, you can see the locals, mostly elderly, hand craft their products live on the spot. Besides crafting and bead work, there are more products selling in the center including the Penan mats and basketry items. Wood tied bracelet and necklace are to be seen around too. The building that houses the handicraft center has rich historical means as it is previously functioned as the Community Hall of Miri state.
Tamu Muhibbah is a colourful native market where you’ll find a range of exotic fruits and vegetables, handicrafts and produce from upriver areas, including fragrant Bario rice. if there's more time to spend you'll be going to shops in Modern and Trendy Shopping Malls around the city area.
