Our starting point is the unconquered city of Porto and we point East, into the Vinho Verde region. We leave the urban area to see a little of the exuberant nature of this region of Portugal, visiting the gardens of a Wine State, where you can learn some of the history and about the local wine production, accompanied by a local wine tasting of an iconic Vinho Verde. Back in Porto it is time to enjoy a not so touristic gastronomic experience of the city. We will go to a traditional Tasca (snack-bar) to taste a well-known smoked ham sandwich, accompanied with wine, of course. Finally, we will visit one of the last 100% Portuguese Port Wine cellars established in 1918 and always owned by the same family, where we finish our day with a tasting of the most famous Portuguese wine.
