Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a World Heritage Site mainly due to the temple.

Stop At: Royal Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya, Kandy District, Central Province

The garden includes more than 4000 species of plants, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees. Attached to it is the National Herbarium of Sri Lanka. The total area of the botanical garden is 147 acres

Godfrey our guide was very good he took us to see lots of great places and good places for lovely views. Pinnawala Elephant sanctuary was not on the itinerary but we enjoyed the visit - it was good to see the elephants in the river and we enjoyed a good cup of tea in the hotel overlooking the river.
