Your tour will start at 8:00 am from the Ella Jungle Resort. It is suggested that you wear comfortable lightweight clothing and proper hiking boots. They will benefit you while hiking through the moist tropical jungle, with its dense undergrowth, You can also bring along some insect repellant and salt, for the various insects and leeches. During your hike, you will see a number of exciting sights; such as an ancient Buddhist temple, a local school, beautiful green fields and etc. You will also face many challenges; such as having to ford a river and much more.
After a long, hard hike you will be reaching Illukpalassa village; where you will be treated to fresh king coconut water that will refresh you. After that, you will be taken around the village, and shown the many activities that the villagers do as part of their lives. You will get to understand how they survive mostly in isolation and live off the land. If you opted for a village lunch; you will be served a delightful meal filled with local delicacies and spices.
In the evening you will be taken to a natural spring that forms a number of beautiful pools that are perfect for bathing and a little fun. After splashing around for a short while; you will be starting your return trip back. This will not take as long as your initial trip; since you will be taking a shorter trail through the brush. Once you get back to the resort the tour will be completed.
